Week 1:

Unfortunately we couldn't reach our class today. We left a video message and can't wait to meet the kids next week!

 

 

Week 2:

We were able to finally meet the kids today! There were connecion issues but we still got through most of the introduction. We had a really good time answering the kids questions about life at Vanderbilt and the US in general.

 

Week 3:

Unfortunetly we couldn't connect to our class today. Today's lesson was on weather and we sent the powerpoint. Hopefully we will be able to connect next week!

 

 

Week 4:

Today we managed to connect with the class and went over the weather with them. The connection was a bit patchy so we didn't get to go over the whole powerpoint, but we did make good progress and have our fingers crossed for next week! (Powerpoint used is the same one from week 3)

 

Week 5:

We had a great lesson today! Skype was very cooperative and we were able to get through the whole lesson. We went over the seven wonders of the world and assigned the kids their first homework assignment. We also really enjoyed learning about the coolest things the kids had seen. Attached is the powerpoint we used this week.

 

 

Week 6:

Today was a great lesson! we went over music and the different genres of music popular in America.

 

Week 7:

Another successful lesson! Today we finished the powerpoint about sports a bit early and did a Q&A session with the kids for a little while before signing off. Next week is break so we plan to send the kids an e-mail explaining the holiday traditions to them.
